Project Description

BIOCALCULUS is a cutting-edge wireless remote monitoring system for healthcare professionals, offering continuous collection and analysis of physiological data such as heart rate, ECG, respiratory rate, body and skin temperature, activity, and posture. They approached Oodles to develop a platform for real-time data transmission to a cloud platform. Oodles delivered a solution enabling secure data storage, enhancing patient care and outcomes.

Scope Of Work

Our scope of work for the BIOCALCULUS project is to develop a cutting-edge wireless remote monitoring system that revolutionizes healthcare professionals' ability to monitor patients remotely. Our goal is to create a platform that can continuously collect and analyze a wide range of physiological data, including heart rate, ECG, respiratory rate, body and skin temperature, activity, and posture. The collected data will be securely transmitted wirelessly to a cloud platform for storage and analysis. One of the key features we aim to provide is the ability to set parameters and receive real-time notifications when physiological data falls outside the desired range, enabling healthcare professionals to intervene promptly.

Our Solution

By implementing the finest services and technologies, we enabled healthcare professionals to remotely monitor patients by continuously collecting and analyzing various physiological data. Technologies used were Android, Java, MongoDB, and Python. Our solution for the BIOCALCULUS project involved providing the following services and technologies:

  • Data Processing in the Server by ECG waveform analysis, including PQRST and abnormality detection using AI algorithms, Patient activity analysis, Respiratory rate calculation from ECG waveform, and Handling multiple clients on the sending and receiving side
  • Web Dashboard for Live plotting of multiple patient ECG signals and respiratory rate graphs in the doctor's view, Real-time display of respiratory rate, SPO2, temperature, and activity in the dashboard, and Access to patient data history from the database.
  • Android Application to Process data from multiple sensors, Sending live data from sensors to the server and displaying live processed data in the doctor's view.
